Taos Pueblo Central Management System

Rate of Pay: DOE                                                                                   CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt


Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, incumbent is responsible for performing basic preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and repair on Tribal buildings and facilities.


Performs preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning units and other equipment. Performs regularly scheduled inspection of belts, and hoses; replaces filers; replace or repair broken parts. Conducts minor electrical, plumbing and non-structural and construction repairs. Mixes prepared paints a variety of exterior and interior surfaces. Ensures outside grounds are clean, well kept, removes snow as needed. Determines material list of supplies needed for each work order. Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts and order as necessary. Observes safety rules, and ensures and maintains a safe environment. Performs housekeeping duties as needed. Knowledge of use of maintenance tools, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants. Knowledge of the methods and practices used in preventive maintenance and repair work. Ability to work alone or in a team.


High school diploma or equivalent; Experience in maintenance of facilities preferred. Must be knowledgeable in facility and ground maintenance; Must be knowledgeable of occupational hazards and applicable safety practices; Must be able to lift 50 pounds; Fluent Tiwa speaker, preferred; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Must have valid NM driver’s license, meet and maintain company auto insurance requirements.
