RATE OF PAY: DOE                                                           CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

 

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for maintaining and enforcing law and order in the community of Taos Pueblo by protecting life, property, and the rights of the individual citizens. The Police Officer will be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be certified by the B.I.A. or State of New Mexico.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must pass a medical, psychological and background investigation.
  • No felony, misdemeanor or domestic convictions.
  • Must have a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
  • Must meet and maintain company auto insurance requirements.
